SADGA
The South African Disabled Golf Association
My Role as Business Development and Sponsorship Manager as well as SADGA Ambassador
It is a huge goal for me to promote and grow disabled golf in South Africa which is why partnering with SADGA was a perfect and mutually beneficial step.
The goal is to continue growing disability golf in South Africa by expanding the tour schedule and creating more playing opportunities for our golfers.
I will also be on hand at a number of First Swing Program (FSP) coaching sessions. This involves creating unique ways for children with disabilities to get involved with golf.
First Swing Programme
Probably one of the biggest successes at SADGA so far, (and the one they are most proud of) is the First Swing Program. The First Swing Program is a series of clinics at participating schools across South Africa for disabled children and youth – focusing not only on golf but on rehabilitation through golf.
The program is designed to introduce disabled children to golf; and through golf to vital life skills and broad exposure to golf related industries such as hospitality, golf course management and PR industries.
